Easy of Use

The Shark IQ Robot is very user-friendly. It comes with an easy interface. There are two buttons for control on the top of the unit which allow you to begin and stop a clean-up session or return it to its dock. However, it's more practical to use the app and voice commands. Its vacuuming performance is impressive capable of lifting and collect pet hair with ease. The suction power of the vacuum is strong enough to get rid of deep crevices and corners. It's also smart enough to recognize the different kinds of flooring and adjust the power level according to them. It will also avoid getting stuck on large objects. It also comes with an anti-scratch pad to clean tough stains. It also has an intelligent brush roll that automatically adjusts its height when it moves from one kind of flooring to another.

The mopping feature is also extremely efficient. The Sonic mopping technique and thorough pathing cleans the floor up 100 times per minute. A dedicated cleaner tank containing water and VACMOP cleaning solutions provides outstanding stain removal capabilities. There's a special Ultra Mop setting in the app that allows for cleaner stain removal in specific areas.

The Shark IQ is more expensive than the Xiaomi Mi robot, but it has superior maneuverability, navigation and cleaning performance on carpet and floors with low pile. It also has a bigger dustbin, can last longer on a single charge and comes with physical boundary strips that can be used to keep it from certain areas.

Powerful Suction

This robot can clean your floors in one pass. It is capable of removing pet hair and other debris but it can't do very well on thick carpets. It also does a great job of mapping its coverage area and avoiding low obstacles. It is louder than most robot vacuums, but that's normal for such a powerful machine.

It is a great battery life and can be controlled via the SharkClean app or via voice commands if you own a smart speaker like Alexa or Google Assistant. The app lets you check the robot's battery remaining, choose various cleaning modes, and then schedule the time when your home needs to be cleaned. You can also set virtual boundaries to prevent it from entering rooms in which it could get stuck or knock over an item that is fragile.

The Shark AI Robot has a solid build and is easy to install right out of the box. Its body is made of a mix of hard plastics with an elegant and glossy finish, as well as rubber bumpers and wheels at the front. Its oblong shape allows it to fit a tank for water and the tall LIDAR mapping sensor. It does not require significant assembly, aside from snapping the side brushes into place. This makes it simpler to put together than other models that require more work and components. It's a bit on the heavy side however, with nearly 18 pounds.

It's true that robot vacuums and mop cleaners that perform both are more expensive. The Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 that we examined, for example costs $699 or PS559 or AU$1,054 if buy it in a bundle with the self-emptying bagless charging base. Even without the base, it runs $649 / PS449 / AU$681.

The Shark AI Ultra is a great robot vacuum and mop. It is a great tool for clearing pet hair from bare floors and can clean the room several times before needing to charge. It comes with a mopping pads that you can wash between uses.

The only drawback is that its navigation system has some issues, particularly when it comes to navigating around obstacles such as furniture. It also leaves behind dirty spots. However, the robot vacuum and mop do an excellent job of cleaning these areas when it's set to 'Eco' mode, which is designed to reduce power usage.

Its battery life is good, with a range of approximately 90 minutes in our tests. The app allows you to schedule it to clean by room or at a scheduled time which is beneficial when you have to leave your home for long periods of time. You can also control the Shark AI Ultra using voice commands using Alexa and Google Assistant devices. There are two buttons for control on the robot if do not want to use the app.

App Control

The Shark robot vacuum and mop comes with an extra-large self-emptying base that can store 60 days worth of dirt and debris. It is easy to move around the house because it has a better obstacle detection system than other robot vacuums. It has a remarkable mopping capacity for a robotic vacuum, and can clean rooms in just one hour.

It's also compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, allowing you to control the device by voice. The Shark IQ 2-in-1 is better at maneuvering itself than some other robots, however it isn't equipped with the S8+/S8's live-time safety system, and also an entire base station that empty its dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dries its mop. However, it does provide the option of setting mopping and vacuuming schedules that are compatible with your schedule.
